Important news for all Beecake fans going to their USA gigs. Taken from their Twitter.

Plus a lovely pic from the upcoming interview with Billy on BBC Alba:

25 Sep 2009 Adrenaline Junkie pictures

I've got for you three more pictures, from the second episode's preview. Still no Billy, though. So far it seems we'll get to see him in the fourth episode at earliest.

24 Sep 2009 The Hop-off-it

by Marc Deanie from the Scottish Sun
THRILL-SEEKING Hobbit actor Billy Boyd was so scared by tackling a giant bungee jump that he told his wife to look out his WILL.

The Lord Of The Rings star is petrified of heights, but decided to conquer his fear by leaping off a mountain in Canada.

The stunt was all part of Jack Osbourne's Celebrity Adrenaline Junkie show.

But pint-sized Billy, 41, admitted he was so scared he phoned his missus and got her to check everything was in order in case he didn't make it.

He said: "Speaking to my wife about it, she said if it was something I wanted to do, then I should go ahead and do it.

"We spoke a lot on the phone, and I told her where the will was before I went - I really did."

Billy reveals his death-defying exploits in an interview with BBC Alba presenter Cathy MacDonald for her Cuide ri Cathy series.

The Glasgow-born actor admitted he only agreed to the stunt because fellow Hobbit Elijah Wood egged him on.

He said: "It isn't really my thing but Elijah had done it and he said it was a great experience. I've always liked Jack and I liked what he'd done with the programme. If there was any reason for me not to do it, it was really the fear of doing that kind of thing.

"But I thought, 'I'm going to do it'. I'm so glad I did, it was an amazing trip.

He added: "I'm very seldom just seen as myself on TV. It was sort of weird, but I just tried to be as honest as possible."

The actor, who splits his time between Glasgow and LA, reckons being Scottish helps him make pals when he is filming abroad.

Smile

He said: "I think being Scottish is a great thing for travelling. The guys who were doing security on the show were ex-Army.

"And because they knew guys from the Black Watch and different regiments, you get a smile straight away."

And Billy - who made his telly debut in Taggart in 1996 - wants Scots to inspire the next generation of actors.

He said: "I liked Bill Forsyth movies - Gregory's Girl and Local Hero.

"I went to the cinema and I understood that world.

"There should be more of these stories told."

18 Sep 2009 Adrenaline Junkie

Yesterday, Billy appeared on Jack Osborne's show called Adrenaline Junkie and you know what? I have two first pictures! Credit kleini. It looks like he was mountain climbing and bungee jumping, all in spite of his fear of heights. What a brave man!

EDIT: I made a few more caps from the episode, because you can download it here. Billy is only in the preview, so we have to wait to see more. But poor guy - he looks so scared!

10 Sep 2009 The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring performance

05 Sep 2009 Billy and Elijah going surfing

After such a long time I finally have some news for you, guys! This time it's pictures from L.A. with Billy and Elijah preparing for their surfing trip.

Lol, I wonder if Elijah isn't a little warmer with his jeans on, I think I'd die. Well, maybe he's used to the weather :)

I love Billy's shorts biggrin

03 Sep 2009 Forum news

Some of you may have tried to register on our forum to become a part of our little community (which is completely dead at the moment) but with no success. That's because I was forced to disable registration of new members due to hundreds of spams I was getting to my email box every day.

But I would like to revive the social life here so I came with a solution - to register you people myself, as a administrator of the forum. That means log in, turn the registration on, register you and then disable it again. Simple, lol.

WHO'S IN?

28 Aug 2009 It's Billy's 41st birthday today!!!

Our "wee" Scot is a year older and we all wish him the best! Let the next year bring him lots of success in his personal and career life.

For this occassion, KT made a cute picspam video. Since we had some problems on YouTube, it's just for dowload, but you won't regret. It's 10 minutes long and it has 43,4 MB.

27 Aug 2009 Bonding quotation :)

Nothing new today as nothing was since the last post - Billy's probably having a rest somewhere, getting ready for his tomorrow's birthday party! Well, just guessing biggrin

The reason I'm writing today is that I just came across an awesome Billy-Dom quote. Maybe you've already seen it, but it's completely new for me.

Dom: Billy was doing Master and Commander and learning about knots and seamanship and when I went down to visit him in Mexico I woke up tied to my bed in half-sheep shanks and double weaves.

Billy: You usually have to pay for that kind of service.

Borrowed from Tereza.

18 Aug 2009 Angela Martin continues

Another pic from the set taken on May 2 appeared on Beecake Myspace.

Is it just me or these pseudo-artistic blurry efffects aren't pretty at all?

13 Aug 2009 Pimp photos!

Two photos with Billy from Pimp movie appeared on Royd Tolkien's Twitter site, which plays one of its characters. They are from set and look really pimp-ish, lol.

06 Aug 2009 Billy about his character in Jusqu'a Toi

Translated from French by Laessiel from BBB.

Rufus by Billy Boyd
A romantic comedy not like the others The first thing which seduce me was the script. I like this story which does not resemble the other romantic comedies at all but that is a true one ! In a certain way, this film reinvents a little the kind, in any case it refreshes it.

A character who resembles to me
From a more personal point of view, I liked that my character is Scottish like me, that his identity is clearly defined but that it is not locked up in the usual stereotype of the Scot. He lives in the United States, works in data processing, he has a true personality, without to carry kilt or gaver of whisky! I really liked to play a "normal" Scot!

Jack and Rufus
Rufus is the best friend of Jack and they work also together. They are complementary. Of the two, Rufus is the one which has the more of imagination, it is clearly kind to postpone to the following day what he is not obliged to do the very same day. He is him who pushes Jack to have fun the festival, to leave a little. Rufus is full with energy whereas Jack is contained a little more. They balance and they are close. Rufus is undoubtedly one of the rare people to be able to speak frankly in Jack. He pushes him to open. He is the one which put books in the hands to him and it is a little thanks to him if Jack will seduce this very pretty Frenchwoman played by Melanie!

Well in the skin of Rufus
I arrived on the set rather late and I have almost all my scenes with Justin. Usually, I am always on the set as of the first day and I take my marks with the remainder of the team. There, I arrived in a team which played since already weeks and which functioned perfectly. It just was necessary me to discover my partner, which was easy, and to slip to me into the role that Jennifer had written. We spoke about it, she had a very clear vision of the things. It is at the same time scenario writer and director and has her subject perfectly. playing Rufus was all the more easy as I was entirely of agreement with the approach that Jennifer had of it.

The play remains the same one
In my opinion, it there no difference between playing on the Lord Of the Rings and playing in this film. The teams are not the same ones but work always consists in incarnating your character of best than can it to you. I already turned in number of country, including to France, for a short-movie ( Instant Credit, as we, fans, can guess), and in Belgium with a French team. For me, JUSQU' A TOI is, before every thing, an excellent story, funny, touching, original, setting in scene with a true vision.
