John Rhys-Davies, Sammi Rotibi and Jimmy Jean-Louis are in negotiations to join the cast of the environmental actioner "The Lion Inside," which ECO Films will shoot this summer in Africa.
Billy Boyd and Peter Mullan are starring in the film, set against the backdrop of illegal logging and wildlife poaching in Central Africa, written by Jim Branchflower and directed by Richard Jobson. ECO Films' Branchflower and Jeff Rodgers, Kalahari Pictures' Michael Murphey and Marker Entertainment's Paul Emami and Chad Hawkins are producing.
For those, who might doubt what really means the previous post, here is the answer: The things are moving fast, baby!

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Richard Jobson will direct the film this summer in South Africa, Kenya and Cameroon.
Written by first-time screenwriter Jim Branchflower, the feature is set against the backdrop of illegal logging and wildlife poaching in Central Africa.

The glitter of the Emerald City fairy-dusted Main Street, as a film-making crew took shots for “The Witches of Oz,” a family film that will retell the tale of Dorothy, Scarecrow and the Wicked Witch.
“Dorothy’s all grown up and writing children’s novels in New York. She thinks it’s all a dream until Oz starts seeping into reality,”said Laura Hill, a production supervisor with Blackthorn Pictures.
A crew from Blackthorn Pictures were at St. Stephen’s Church, Debra Ann’s Chocolates and The Orange Elephant today shooting for the film, which is being directed Leigh Scott and produced by Eliza Swenson and Chris Campbell.
Mr. Scott and Ms. Swenson live in Ridgefield, and Blackthorn Pictures is now based in Norwalk, where the crew, who had been making movies in Louisiana, are working with Palace Productions.
Leigh Scott, the director, also wrote the script.
“It’s kind of his brain child and his passion project,” Ms. Hill said.
The film stars Paulie Rojas as Dorothy, and features Christopher Lloyd, of ‘Back to the Future’ and ‘Taxi’ fame, as the wizard.
“We were really glad he decided to come in on our budget level,” Ms. Hill said. “He just really liked the script.”
The cast also includes Billy Boyd from “The Lord of the Rings” and Mia Sara of “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.”
The film is “a fun family adventure,” Mr. Hill said.
The crew has been shooting about a month and Thursday, their first day in Ridgefield, was anticipated to be the second to last day or shooting.
Ms. Hill said Deborah Ann’s Chocolates was worked into the script after the crew went in to buy candy and realized the photogenic possibilities of the place.
A funeral scene was shot in St. Stephen’s, and The Orange Elephant is used for a scene in which Dorothy, the children’s book author, is reading to kids at a book store.
