AND THEREBY HANGS A TAIL: Film star Billy Boyd yesterday paid tribute to the 'world class' animal hospital that saved the sight of his pet dog. The Glasgow-born actor, who found fame as the hobbit Pippin in The Lord of the Rings, took his springer spaniel, Griffin, to the Small Animal Hospital at Glasgow University after one of his eyes became inflamed. Griffin was cured.
